More than two weeks of practical exercise will involve about 1,000 soldiers (600 exercising, 300 supporting) from 12 countries (Germany, Spain, Poland, Italy, Romania, Czech Republic, Denmark, Belgium, Hungary, Estonia, Lithuania and USA) and Headquarters EUROCORPS. EURETEX 24 will be conducted from 8 to 22 June 2024. After several days of integration training, engineer troops will face the challenge of executing a three-day Live Exercise on a 24/7 basis preceded by the presentation of their skills and capabilities during a Distinguished Visitors Day. Based on an Article V and collective defense scenario, engineers will perform tasks related to defense area preparation, defense execution, and preparation and execution of counterattack operations. The above actions will be accomplished in support of a Motorized Infantry unit provided by the Polish Armed Forces. 

EURETEX 24 is a tactical-level exercise and aims to foster and enhance interoperability among engineers from EUROCORPS Framework and Associated Nations and any other nations willing to share experience, best practices, and tactics, techniques and procedures. The main goal of this exercise is experience-sharing and mutual learning in a multinational environment. Military engineer specialists will focus mainly on the following functional areas: Military engineering, diving, Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD), K9, Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Defense (CBRND), Military Geography (MILGEO), and Meteorology and Oceanography (METOC). 

Preparations for the EURETEX 24 exercise got underway with the Initial Planning Conference conducted from 18 to 20 April 2023 at EUROCORPS in Strasbourg, continued with the Main Planning Conference at Combat Training Center in Drawsko Pomorskie from 07 to 12 November 2023, and were rounded out with the Final Planning Conference from 20 to 22 February 2024, also organized at the HQ EUROCORPS barracks.
